I met Brian on a camping trip with our college snowboard clubs. Around 6 am, Brian walked around the campground looking for someone to go wake boarding with them. I jumped at the opportunity and our friendship began! After 6 months of the best friendship, a switch flipped between us. New Years Eve day he invited me to the pool, and we had our first kiss. It was a magical moment that I will remember for the rest of time.
We decided to try long distance dating without the official title of boyfriend and girlfriend. We placed rules on the relationship just to see if it was worth it. So began our nightly calls, weekly Skype dates and monthly visits. I counted down the days that we would be in each others arms.
My silly self invited him to meet my family for the first time ever with 17 of my family members on Thanksgiving. He impressed my family and the rest was history. On November 28, 2014, he asked me to be his girlfriend.
We flew back and forth from San Francisco to Santa Barbara once a month for almost a year. Our relationship was progressing and he decided to move to San Diego. Finally, a closer commute for the both of us!
As of March 2016, we found out we were expecting our beautiful little girl. We embraced the change with open arms. We continued to commute between our apartments and in November Brian moved up with me to await the birth of our daughter.
November 30th, 2016, our beautiful baby girl was born. And January 2017, I officially moved down to San Diego to start our life together.
Mothers day of this year, he proposed to me at the Jolly Oyster in Santa Barbara. This proposal couldn’t be better. He placed the ring on a dozen oysters and proposed to me while our daughter and puppy were next to us.
And soon comes our wedding day. October 21, 2017 will be one of the best days of my life. I love everything we have created and I can’t wait to share our life with you!
