A blog about raising a precious little girl while being a full time nursing student

Belize It or Not

Belize has been fantastic for traveling with a baby. We are staying on the island of Caye Caulker and Harley has become the hit with the locals. Every restaurant, bar, and coffee shop we visit, everyone has to stop and say hi.

I highly recommend bringing your baby to Belize!

So far our best experiences has been eating at ice and beans for breakfast. They have fantastic coffee and tea plus mini donuts that are fried to order!

Lunch food has to be the blt from paradiso. The bread is a mixture of a baguette and crossiant with peppered bacon and stewed tomatoes complete with a garlic mayo. I’ve now gone back twice and seriously would eat it everyday if I could.

Dinner would have to be from la flava. La flava is an upstairs restaurant on the balcony of the owners house. Last night we split the lion fish stuffed with shrimp and jerk chicken. Both dishes were incredibly well seasoned and cooked to perfection!

My favorite item so far on this trip has been my beachfront baby wrap! Our stroller doesn’t like the sandy streets of Caye Caulker so baby wearing has become essential! Not only is it made in the US, the carrier is made to go in the water and is made with recycled materials 🙂

Plus who doesn’t love our little sleeping tent for miss Harley! We love that the kid co pea pod fits in our carry on and provides shade for wherever we choose to go!
